Shenzhen Travel
Shenzhen is a curious place. A Special Economic
Zone where Chinese are allowed to migrate easily, the city is a hotchpotch
of cultures and ethnicities representing the diversity of the Middle
Kingdom. Skyscrapers are going up faster than the yuan, but that is part of
the master plan to make Shenzhen another economic powerhouse in the Pearl
River Delta region to keep pace with Guangzhou, Macau, and Hong Kong. From
the looks of things, it already does.
Shenzhen's state-of-the-art airport (Hotels
near the SZX - Bao'an airport) is a popular alternative to
Hong Kong's airport
for travellers flying on to other parts of China looking to book domestic
flights at bargain fares. The transport infrastructure of the entire Pearl
River Delta makes transfers by public transport to and from Shenzhen Airport
very easy whether by land or by sea.

Shenzhen Weather & Climate
The climate in
Shenzhen is fairly similar to that of Hong Kong and temperatures here can be
almost subtropical with intense summer heat and lots of rain!
The summers here are exceptionally long, running for about six months and
temperatures can reach 35 degrees C. The winters in this city are much more
bearable however, and temperatures rarely drop below 10 degrees C. August
and September are the best seasons to visit when the temperature is pleasant
and the days are long. Shenzhen has abundant rainfall particularly during
May to September so make sure you bring your umbrella!
